Dr. Ved Prakash Banga

Acupuncture Practitioner & Vedic Astrologer

Dr. Ved Prakash Banga is a qualified acupuncture practitioner. He received his initial medical training in modern medicine, and after completing his M.B.B.S. degree in 1983, he practiced modern medicine until 1997.

His keen interest in ancient healing methods led him to travel extensively to personally verify and experience the effectiveness of these systems. He eventually specialized in acupuncture and traditional systems of medicine, receiving training from various international experts in this field.

He is also a qualified Jyotish Acharya (Vedic Astrologer). Rather than using astrology for fortune-telling, he applies this ancient science to gain deeper insights while treating patients, helping them achieve maximum therapeutic benefit.

Research & Innovation

Over the years, he has developed a unique technique to treat difficult eye disorders related to the retina, macula, and optic nerve, which often do not respond to modern medicine.

In 2007, he was invited by the U.S. Acupuncture Association for the publication of his research results in this field.

Global Award

In 2009, he was conferred the Hakim Ajmal Khan Global Award by Dr. Farooq Abdullah for his work in finding a treatment for Retinitis Pigmentosa.

Professional Journey

Dr. Banga has been actively involved with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and has worked extensively on quackery eradication programs. He served as the Chairman of this program and received both the President Appreciation Award and the Secretary Appreciation Award for his services between 1990 and 1997.

In 1995, he also wrote a book on this subject, with the foreword written by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, who was the Honorable Health Minister of the Delhi Government at that time.

He has delivered lectures at the Indian Medical Association and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on incurable eye diseases, and he continues to receive recognition for his contributions in this field.

Since 2000, he has been treating patients suffering from severe eye disorders and continues to refine his technique, as each case presents new challenges.

His long-term vision is to establish a hospital dedicated to this treatment method, enabling more patients to benefit from this unique approach while maintaining ethical medical practices.
